Who we are..

Quantum Photography is professional but fun Photography Studio based in the Moot area of Pretoria that first opened its doors on 1st September 2010. We strive to apply our vast knowledge of photography to create lasting memories for our clients – luring them back to our studio on a regular basis.

This is very much a family affair with myself – Kobus van Dyk – doing duty as Photographer and my wife – Nadine – as second photographer, Album Designer and Post Production Editor of your awesome memories. Together we will make your memories last forever – not only the actual photographs – but also your experience in our humble but fully equipped studio (my wife thinks I have got too many toys in my studio!!).

Quantum Photography believes that “a picture is worth more than a thousand words” and therefore we will try virtually anything and everything to tell this story with our photography, so you can enjoy it years from now. Our photographs are not merely a “let’s get the job done” affair – it is a burning passion for excellence and perfectionism in photography with having absolute fun thrown into the mix. From an in-studio photoshoot, to a 12 hour wedding – our aim is always to relax our clients and having fun with them no matter what. In this way our photographs always seem to come out just fabulous!! 

We are two serious extroverts, and therefore have to be around people – maybe that’s the reason why our small and humble company has grown consistently with repeat client bookings on a regular basis.

This is what we do:

Quantum Photography only make use of High-End cameras, studio equipment and post production / editing software, computers & monitors to ensure the best possible quality photography. Various studio props are also available to really pump up the fun.

All the above will not make a better photograph, if the photographer and editor in charge of your memories are not dedicated to excellence at all times.

Availability:

Securing our services & Payment:
WEDDINGS: A refundable* booking deposit equal to 50% of the total quotation is payable to secure your date and time slot in advance. In the unfortunate event that your wedding is cancelled or another date is chosen by the client that we cannot accommodate in our schedule, the said deposit will be refunded as follows: *1) Cancellation 3 (three) calendar months or more before the wedding date – 100% of your deposit. *2) Cancellation 2 (two) calendar months before the wedding date – 50% of your deposit. *3) Cancellation 1 (one) calendar month before the wedding date – No Refund. The balance is payable 1 (one) week prior to the actual wedding date. No wedding will be undertaken unless the full outstanding amount is paid. All extras and or extra time spent at the wedding venue at the Bridal couple’s request is payable on invoice after the wedding.

FUNCTIONS AND EVENTS – CORPORATE AND PRIVATE: A Non-Refundable booking deposit equal to 50% of the total quotation is payable in advance to secure your date/s and time slot/s. In the unfortunate event that your function is cancelled or moved to a date that we cannot accommodate for whatever reason, the deposit may be used to secure an alternative photo session equal to the said deposit at a date we can accommodate such a photo session. The balance of the assignment is payable on the date of the assignment or directly thereafter / on completion. No products will be supplied / delivered to the client unless full payment is received.

STUDIO AND ON LOCATION PHOTO SESSIONS – There are two options here: 1) The full amount on the quotation can be paid in advance OR 2) You may pay a booking deposit equal to 50% of the total cost of the photo session to secure your date and time – balance of option 2 is payable on the day of the photo session. Should you cancel the said appointment, or another date is chosen by the client that we cannot accommodate in our schedule, the said paid monies will be forfeited to recover any financial losses incurred by us. However – we will at all times try our utmost best to accommodate you at another date and time that suits all parties so that you do not lose any moneys. Any extras ordered by the client is payable on invoice and no post production will take effect on any extras unless fully paid for.

ARCHITECTURE & INTERIOR DESIGN ASSIGNMENTS: A 50% Non Refundable Booking deposit is payable in advance. The balance is due on the date that we deliver the final product to the client. Please take note that no product will be supplied to the client unless fully paid for. The client will however have the opportunity to first view the final outcome of the assignment to ensure total client satisfaction before making final payment. Should you cancel the said appointment, or another date is chosen by the client that we cannot accommodate in our schedule, the said paid monies will be forfeited to recover any financial losses incurred by us. However – we will at all times try our utmost best to accommodate you at another date and time that suits all parties so that you do not lose any moneys. 

Traveling Costs:
All packages include 150 kilometers of traveling in and around Centurion / Pretoria area. Any traveling beyond the 150 kilometers radius caries a fee of R 3.50 per kilometer plus Toll fees (if applicable). Any event / assignment that requires 3 hours (300 kilometers) or more of traveling in one direction, will be subject to an overnight accommodation fee of up to R 650.00 / person per night that needs to be paid in advance, unless the client can provide suitable accommodation. Please note that any Toll Fees incurred by us will be invoiced to the client after the assignment and are payable on receiving the said invoice. 

Dress Code:
We dress professionally at all times and strive to blend into the proceedings at hand. Please note that our work attire are all branded with our Company Logo. 

Type of Photos Taken:
A mix of traditional, natural, fun and creative pictures. We also welcome any input from the client regarding desired photo specifics as well as content. This said, we humbly request that friends / family also wishing to take pictures do not interfere with our setup and way of operating. They are welcome to take pictures, as long as they don’t prevent us from getting the perfect shot.

Ownership of Photographs:
A hard copy backup in the form of a CD / DVD is kept of all photos taken, which is kept in your client file and locked away. All pictures taken will be supplied on a good quality CD or DVD disc in high resolution for printing purposes, as well as medium resolution for e mailing & Facebook, which the client may use as deemed fit. Quantum Photography retains the right to use any material for advertising and promotional purposes. However – Quantum Photographic Services (Quantum Photography) undertakes NOT to publish or use any images should the client prefer to keep his or her images private. This includes posting any images to Social Media as well as to our Website or any other form of publication.

Finalization Period:
Depending on the selected package, the final product may take from 7 to 10 working days to complete. Photo Albums can take up to 8 weeks to complete. Once post production is completed, you will be contacted to collect your order. We generally do not do deliveries, although this can be arranged via registered mail or courier – the costs to be for your account and payable in advance.
