Tools of the trade - what we use when creating these images...
Only the best – and more importantly – the correct equipment is employed by us which include professional high-end camera bodies, special ultra wide angle lenses for those small little bathroom toilet and other spaces and wide angle telephoto lenses for those far away shots, high quality and heavy duty tripods, lens filters, additional lighting and other specialized photography equipment. We always work in a 2 person team in order to be more creative and efficient. Having “bragged” about how much expensive equipment we have and use – you should please read the very important next paragraph….
Training - staying ahead of the competition...
This is where things really starts to count in our favor!! Without a doubt – there is no substitute for proper and more importantly ongoing and regular training. I am not referring to a short non-coherent YouTube video of 15 or 30 minutes – oh no – I am talking proper real books (remember those things??) – yes real books made from real paper that was written by the best Real Estate, Architecture and Interior Design Photographers on the planet and not available in South Africa, so importing them was the only (and very expensive) option. Trust me – these things are worth their weight in gold. I will be very honest here – referring back to these books happens on a regular basis because just as I think I am now a self made genius with all the knowledge there can possibly be, a simple problem creeps out of the woodwork!! Back to the books – again.
